As reading this book many problems that are now active in the global politics and societies, were present in the same way and quantity in the time when the novel takes place. One of them which the whole novel is based on is war. In this region of middle Asia and Arabia (including all of the Islamic countries in this particular area) were constantly in a big fuss with the west which caused endlessness wars and rebellions in these areas. The sad part is that these populations that have been struck by the war are being rapidly decreased by the number of casualties, plus children from these nations have to grow up in these conditions which are full of destruction, blood, squalor, plague, and impurity. I don't now for you but almost every day there are news coming from these areas of the middle east announcing new wars, new fights, and new deaths. in this particular time of the 70s of the last century, there was the most of fighting and war, this is the time when the novel takes place and time, during the biggest crises and poverty of these countries

Peace

Peace
To me peace is a gorgeous thing no war, no bombing, you can’t see nor hear peoples running away. You can’t see dead bodies; you can’t heir cries and sobs. If there was no peace we will see graves filling the cemetery. Worldly wide peace should be known and followed. What good does war bring us NOTHING!
It brings hate and sadness. I can’t imagine a world without peace. I lived through a war I know what is it like when your father is sent to the front to fight, I know what is it like that your house is burned down. So we need peace to live a better life to be free to live in peace to have a better life and better life for people in the world.

Reflection on Cartoon Unit of Exploration

Reflection on Cartoon Unit
This unit in English classes was Cartoons and cartoon violence. My class and I one time had a homework to search or watch cartoons with violence and to mark those violence’s in our notebook. I was wondering would people watch cartoons without violence’s? How do violence’s effect children and other people who watch them? And why are violence’s put into cartoons? And I found good answerers to these questions the first answer to the first question is would people watch cartoons without violence from my perspective people wouldn’t watch cartoons without violence it would get boring. The second question how does cartoon violence? Well, cartoon violence affects children and people who watch it in a negative way in a way that they imitate the characters. And my third question is why do people put violence in cartoons? It is because accordingly to the human thinking to people it is much more interesting with violence than without violence. So people put violence’s in cartoons because of these reasons.

The Lybrary Poem

Library Poem
When I enter the room full of books
I can't take one because they are like hooks
It dusty looks
The rows are full
And it’s so cool
Not to be fool
But read the books to the full.

The Wise Old woman

The Wise Old Woman
The story of the wise old woman is an old Japanese story that was written by Yoshiko Uchida [ 1921- 1972], a Japanese immigrant to the United States of America. This story tells about a village in the western hills of Japan where cruel and unreasonable lord rules, which declared every person over 71 years old, should be banished out of the village and left in the mountains to die. When the villagers heard that, they murmured by themselves how cruel he is. Many people who went over 71 went in the mountains to experience a terrible death. In the village lived a good, kind and hard working farmer along with his mother. Both of them were good and had good times together until his mother got 71 and it was her time to obey the rule. The farmer was so unhappy, and angry, and sad at the same time. The farmer couldn’t let go of his mother so he hid her in his dungeon and bought food and water, and always came to keep her company. One day comes the big mighty lord called lord Higa and tells to the lord of the village,” Do for me three tasks and I will not take over your village, and if you don’t, I will.” All of the three tasks were difficult to solve, and any of the wise men in the village didn’t know how to find an answer for it. The first task was to put a single thread of silk into a log with seven curves in it, and if the villagers don’t do this he will come and conquer the village. All of the villagers were scared and didn’t know how to perform this. The farmer got an idea that maybe his mother knows how to do it, which she did, because she was the only old and wise person left in the village. Same thing happened with next two equally impossible tasks. When young farmer performed all the three tasks correctly Lord Higa left their village and the lord of the village was very grateful to the young farmer, and asked him how he knew what he had to do. The young farmer admitted that his mother is still hidden and alive, fearing for the punishment. However, the lord of the village didn’t punish them, because he understood that we need old people because of their wisdom and experience, and from that day on he canceled the cruel rule.

Reflection on Myth unit of Exploration

Reflection on Myths Unit Exploration
During this unit of exploration I have learned many myths and many messages from the myths. I learned many myths from all over from the world like how turtles came to swim, the stone dog and the Trojan horse from many parts of the world from Greece, from Africa, and from Europe. The myths were very interesting to me and I have learned many good messages like
Treat others how you want to be treated
Be creative and smart
And use your wisdom
The myths we read and did in class I think were very good quality myths and that are appropriate for our level for our reading levels. The first myth we did was “The Stone Dog” I liked that myth but it was a little sad, but the myth about the turtle was interesting and funny. Although the myth studies were a big process from the beginning of the school year we have started learning about myths and legends we needed to research the questions that our teacher gave us like
What is a myth?
How are myths formed?
And where are they formed?
Etc
We have studied myths all the way know to November which we worked hard in language A classes which I think the whole grade liked it. However I liked this unit of exploration on myths therefore I would like to do more like this. Afterwards in the year we maybe could do again the myth unit exploration.
